It's been ages! I miss posting, so here I am again. Nothing much today, but hopefully more frequent posting these days.
Conversations with third-graders:
S: Mrs. Stone, what do you call an object that is not real?
Me: Um..... Fake???? (duh?)
S: No, like an object that can't move.
Me: Non-living? (thinking that would be a logical suggestion, as
it has been a recent science topic)
S: No... there's another word...
Me: Inanimate? (thinking: "no, she's in third grade.
she's not thinking 'inanimate'.")
S: Yes!! That's it!
